Sister Mary Lucy Sundry grew up in Rochester, Minnesota. While studying elementary education at Winona State University, she discerned her vocation to the religious life. In 2000, she entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, professed first vows in 2002 and perpetual vows in 2007. After graduating from Aquinas College in Nashville, Sister Mary Lucy began teaching second grade. She has served in schools in Nashville, TN, Greenville, SC, and Bolingbrook, IL. She also completed a master’s degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio.
