Sister Maria Clemens is from South Dakota, one of five children born to Ronald and Donna Wolf. She graduated from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Sister received her master’s in Special Education from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA, as well as a master’s in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH.
She entered the Dominican Sisters in 2000 and made her final vows in 2007. She has taught grade levels PreK to 8th in Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, and Georgia, as well as cooking for the sisters in our Motherhouse. She enjoys teaching at St. Rose in Birmingham, AL, and loves teaching 2nd grade. She finds joy in preparing little ones to open their hearts to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. She has been trained in all levels of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and uses this approach in the classroom to help the children know that the Good Shepherd calls them by name and loves them infinitely.
