Sister Emma is a native of Nashville, TN, where she grew up in a loving home with her parents, two younger brothers and sisters along with lots of pets. She received both her elementary and high school education under the direction of the St. Cecilia Dominicans, whose joyful witness and spiritual presence planted the seed of her own vocation while she was very young. After entering, she received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Aquinas College. She began her first teaching assignment here at Saint Rose Academy back in 2010, where she taught 2nd and 3rd-grade Religion and 5th grade Social Studies. Since then she has taught mostly 2nd grade in schools staffed by the Sisters in Jackson, TN, and Joliet, IL. She is happy to be heading down south once again and returning to Saint Rose Academy.
