Lori Carter grew up in Charleston, SC and attended the College of Charleston where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She holds certification in both Special Education and Early Childhood Education and was a National Board Certified teacher.  In 2016, she retired from teaching in the public school system in Charleston where she taught preschool special education, kindergarten, child development and first grade and moved to Birmingham to be near her first grandchild. Ms. Carter has two grown children, Brett and Rebecca, and two grandchildren, Alice and Rosie. Ms. Carter enjoys spending time with her family, especially her precious granddaughters and her dog Lily, along with reading, crocheting and pilates. She feels extremely blessed to be a part of the Saint Rose family.
