Deby Alfano grew up primarily in Melbourne, Florida and is the oldest of five siblings. She earned her bachelor’s degree in K-6 Elementary Education at Athens State University in Athens, Alabama. This is Ms. Alfano’s eighteenth year at Saint Rose Academy, where she has shown her versatility by teaching children in grades 2-5, assisting as a Kindergarten aide, and currently teaches K-8 th grade Art and is Director of After-School Care. She has taught children’s art classes at the Birmingham Museum of Art in addition to private art lessons at Saint Rose. She enjoys the outdoors, exploring virtually any art medium, especially mosaics, and dog sitting. She is very grateful to work alongside the Dominican Sisters recognizing their influence in her own Catholic formation and is deeply committed to the Saint Rose mission to form the whole child and to bring the child to his/her full potential as a child of God.
