Saint Rose Academy Youth Protection Training is for adults who plan to volunteer as room parents, coaches, chaperones and any other person who has contact with children at school.
Our sports programs have long been a strength of Saint Rose Academy. Our students participate in athletics sponsored by the Toy Bowl Association and the John Carroll Middle School Athletic Program.
Opportunities to participate include:
Parents actively participate by coaching, helping at home games and cheering on all Saint Rose teams.
Under the patronage of Saint Cecilia, and directorship of Mrs. Knutson the Saint Rose choirs sing with much joy and enthusiasm. Both choirs are non-auditioned and practice before school once a week. Members learn proper vocal technique through inspiring and enjoyable music, both sacred and secular. The extra-curricular activities at Saint Rose Academy contribute to the formation and well-roundedness of our students, offering students further opportunities to serve, to learn, and to grow. These activities include:
Little Flowers
Is a Catholic club for 2nd - 5th grade girls that teaches virtues through scripture, saints’ biographies and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Based on the 1906 Catholic classic The Catholic Girls’ Guide by Fr. F.X. Lasance, and the spirituality of St. Thérése, the Little Flower of Liseux, this beautiful, authentically Catholic program, delights and instills in our girls a love of our Catholic Faith by earning badges for the virtues they have practiced and life skills they have learned. Little Flowers meet once a month and are lead in prayer and guidance by Sister Maria Clemens, O.P.
Knights of the Altar
Our altar boys, in grades 6-8, who serve the Lord and Saint Rose Academy with great esprit de corps.
Catholic Science Club
Grades 6-8 students who wish to gather every other week for an opportunity to unite faith and reason by learning about saints who have studying and expanded the sciences, a fun activity or experiment, and a snack.
Additional extra-curricular activities may be offered, depending upon student interest.
