Since Saint Rose Academy is a private school, independent of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham, Alabama, it receives no financial support from the diocese or from a parish. As a result, the school depends solely on tuition, fundraisers, and donations to fund its daily operations.
Our most important source of unrestricted funds available is the Annual Fund, a yearly fundraising campaign to support the operation of Saint Rose Academy. The Annual Fund provides operating monies that support the ongoing work at the school and bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating our students. A successful Annual Fund helps keep tuition costs as affordable as possible for students and their families.
Donations to the Annual Fund are fully tax-deductible and can be paid by cash, check, PayPal, or via stock transfers. Pledges can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or in annual installments. The Annual Fund runs concurrently with the fiscal year: July 1 to June 30.
Saint Rose Academy receives many gifts in memory or in honor of classmates, parents, and friends. When a memorial gift is made, the school notifies the honoree’s family member(s). Unless the memorial gift is designated for an endowed or capital gift, it is allocated to annual support.
If you wish to make a gift in someone’s memory or honor, simply make the check payable to Saint Rose Academy and mail it to:
Please include a note with the following information pertaining to each gift:
A letter will be sent to the surviving family member(s) or to the honoree mentioning the name and address of the donor but not the amount of the gift. You will receive an acknowledgement letter and a receipt for tax purposes. The memorial will be published in our annual report.
For further information, please contact Christine Salberg, Director of Institutional Advancement at (205) 933-0549 (ext. 114).
Saint Rose Academy is aware of the burden on some families who are committed to a good Catholic education but who may not be able to afford full tuition. We are, therefore, committed to assisting families with financial needs.
St. Joseph Fund Benefactors
Our generous benefactors provide financial assistance specifically for children whose families are unable to afford full tuition. Their donations, which may cover a student’s entire tuition or a percentage thereof, directly impact the lives of children, allowing these young souls the opportunity to receive a rich and faith-filled Saint Rose education. By becoming a donor, your gift will be used immediately to cover tuition costs for children whose families cannot afford them.
